The DTG2 is forever a major player in Deep Trekker’s history. Our first flagship vehicle, the DTG2 paved the way for our innovative fleet of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), pipe crawlers and utility crawlers.
While the DTG2 will always remain a part of our story, we are proud to offer a newer, more advanced version in the DTG3 ROV plus the completely reimagined REVOLUTION ROV.
Deep Trekker ROVs are durable, affordable and easy to use, providing reliable solutions for underwater tasks. All configurations are battery-powered and operate several hours on a single charge, meaning no external power sources are required to complete the job. Smart design paired with the lack of external power makes Deep Trekker ROVs easily portable for missions in any location. Rapid and convenient deployment means that operators can get to work quickly and efficiently. Both the DTG3 and Revolution ROVs can be out of the case and in the water in under a minute.
The open platform, modular ROVs accept a variety of sensors including imaging and navigation sonars, USBL tracking systems, multi-function manipulators with a variety of attachments, and non destructive testing tools such as the ultrasonic thickness gauge, among other options. With mission specific underwater tools, users can be ready for whatever task is thrown their way. The propeller assembly and drive motor are connected together using magnets, meaning that the thrusters are very durable, they do not wear down over time and they do not require ongoing maintenance such as oiling, greasing or regular replacement.
Suitable for a wide range of applications, Deep Trekker ROVs are versatile vehicles. Proven in industries like aquaculture, energy, search and recovery, defense and maritime shipping, as well as ocean science and research applications, Deep Trekker vehicles are up for the job. As innovators in the ROV industry, our team can provide you with the right robotic system for your application.
The DTG3 is a mini observation-class underwater ROV built to provide operators the ability to quickly deploy and visually inspect within underwater environments. At first glance the DTG3 may look similar to the DTG2 however we have made several key advancements from our initial design.
Equipped with a 270 degree rotating HD camera, the DTG3 lets users get eyes underwater quickly and safely up to 200 m (656 feet). External ports including HDMI, USB, Ethernet and SD card connectivity allow for straightforward recording and sharing. Simply insert the micro SD card into the controller and use either the snapshot or record buttons on the side of the controller to begin recording. When you are finished, take out the micro SD card, insert it into a regular SD card, and upload it to a computer or laptop.
Much like the DTG2, users can take their vehicle anywhere. A singular case and self contained battery operated system allows pilots to easily bring their ROV to any mission, no matter how remote.
Powered by lithium ion batteries the DTG3 does not require additional power sources. Lasting up to 8 hours on a single charge, the DTG3 can also be trickle charged during operation by plugging the controller into a standard 110-240 VAC outlet.
Die-cast aluminum anodized and powder coated for extreme durability in salt and freshwater, the DTG3 is designed to be durable and reliable.
The specially designed vertical precision thruster kit utilizes the intelligent BRIDGE system to maintain depth in the water column and allow the DTG3 to perform precise vertical movements and inspections.
Designed to take on difficult vertical infrastructure, wall or line inspections while depth holding, the Precision Thruster allows for straightforward and convenient use of the DTG3.
BRIDGE is a result of intuitive engineering and listening to what our customers have to say. BRIDGE is an intelligent technology platform; an operating system designed with custom hardware and software; for control, integration, communication and enhanced operation. Deep Trekker’s BRIDGE leverages the latest technology to provide solutions that are intuitive and easy to use for its customers.
Even in rough conditions, the BRIDGE platform allows for stable and clear HD video. Operators can manipulate viewing by adjusting onboard lighting for inspection in both dark and low light environments.
With an improved intelligence platform, BRIDGE technology has the capability to integrate with current and future third-party products.
Advanced algorithms for seamless response between controller and vehicle, from anywhere in the world.
Enhanced viewing and recording capabilities over greater tether distances.

The Deep Trekker REVOLUTION is a completely re-imagined ROV. This mission-ready ROV offers greater payload capabilities, deeper depths, and advanced stabilization. REVOLUTION is the most intuitive and stable ROV for underwater surveys and inspections, built tough to survive harsh underwater conditions to accomplish complex missions. The patented pending revolving head allows operators to rotate the camera, manipulators, and sonar 260° all while station holding in moving water. The 6 vectored thrusters allow for lateral movement side to side and precise turning forward and backward, providing maximum control and advanced station keeping. Each REVOLUTION purchase includes a free online training session with our Technical Trainer to set you up for success.
The standard REVOLUTION ROV package gives you everything the REVOLUTION has to offer. The defining feature is the 260-degree revolving head at the front of the vehicle. In the center of this head is the ultra high definition camera that you see the view from on your controller, as well as powerful LED floodlights and a laser scaler. The REVOLUTION’s 6 vectored thrusters utilize an innovative design called magnetic coupling. The direct sonar integration above the camera head allows pilots to use the sonar to get a visual through murky water or over longer distances, monitor sonar footage live and record it alongside your video all on your handheld controller, no extra laptops or monitors required.
